What proof of delivery is
Proof of delivery (POD) is documentary evidence that goods were delivered to the correct location and received by the buyer or their representative. On AADOPS, POD is uploaded when you confirm delivery. It becomes part of the permanent shipment record and is the primary evidence used in any dispute about whether delivery occurred.
Types of accepted proof
Photograph at delivery location β a clear photo showing the goods at the buyer's address. Include a visible landmark, gate, or signage that confirms the location if possible.
Photograph with recipient β a photo of the person receiving the goods with the cargo visible. This is the strongest form of POD.
Signed delivery note or waybill β a physical document signed by the recipient. Photograph it and upload the image.
GPS timestamp β if your vehicle tracking system generates a GPS-confirmed delivery log, this can be uploaded as supplementary evidence.
How to upload proof of delivery
Proof of delivery is uploaded as part of the delivery confirmation step. On the confirm delivery screen, click Upload proof and select your file. You can upload multiple images or documents. Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, PDF.
Why good POD protects you
If a buyer raises a dispute claiming goods were not delivered, AADOPS reviews the evidence from both parties. A clear, time-stamped POD showing the goods at the buyer's location is almost always sufficient to resolve a dispute in the logistics provider's and seller's favour. Without POD, the dispute becomes a word-against-word situation that is significantly harder to resolve.
