Why pickup confirmation matters
Confirming pickup in AADOPS does three things: it starts the official shipment record, it notifies the buyer that their goods are on the way, and it creates a timestamp that is used as the reference point for delivery timelines and any future dispute investigation.
How to confirm pickup
- Go to Logistics β Active deliveries
- Open the delivery you are collecting
- Click Confirm pickup
- Enter the actual quantity of goods collected β this may differ from what was requested if the seller could only provide partial stock
- Add any notes β e.g. "Collected 45 bags instead of 50 β seller confirmed 5 bags not ready"
- Click Confirm
The shipment status updates to In transit. The seller and buyer are notified.
If the quantity collected differs from what was requested
Record the actual quantity collected β not the requested amount. If there is a significant discrepancy, note it in the comments. The seller is responsible for the quantity shortfall β this is not a logistics issue, but it should be documented accurately.
