Why pickup confirmation matters

Confirming pickup in AADOPS does three things: it starts the official shipment record, it notifies the buyer that their goods are on the way, and it creates a timestamp that is used as the reference point for delivery timelines and any future dispute investigation.

How to confirm pickup

  1. Go to Logistics β†’ Active deliveries
  2. Open the delivery you are collecting
  3. Click Confirm pickup
  4. Enter the actual quantity of goods collected β€” this may differ from what was requested if the seller could only provide partial stock
  5. Add any notes β€” e.g. "Collected 45 bags instead of 50 β€” seller confirmed 5 bags not ready"
  6. Click Confirm

The shipment status updates to In transit. The seller and buyer are notified.

If the quantity collected differs from what was requested

Record the actual quantity collected β€” not the requested amount. If there is a significant discrepancy, note it in the comments. The seller is responsible for the quantity shortfall β€” this is not a logistics issue, but it should be documented accurately.

Tip: Count the goods before confirming pickup. Once you confirm, the system records that quantity as collected. If there is a dispute later about what was delivered, your pickup record is the reference point β€” make sure it is accurate.
