Discount on the entire sale

On the POS cart screen, below the product list, you will see a Discount field with two options: Fixed or Percentage. Select the discount type using the radio buttons, then enter the discount value.

  • Fixed β€” a flat amount deducted from the subtotal, e.g. ₦500 off
  • Percentage β€” a percentage deducted from the subtotal, e.g. 10% off

The grand total updates automatically as you enter the discount.

Discount on a single line item

Click on an individual product in the cart to open its edit options. You can set a discount specific to that item β€” either a fixed amount or a percentage β€” that applies only to that line without affecting other items in the cart.

Tax field

Next to the discount field is a Tax field where you can enter a tax percentage. This is added to the subtotal and reflected in the grand total. If your business charges VAT or any other tax, enter the rate here.

Note: Discounts and tax are applied at the cart level in addition to any item-level discounts. The grand total shown in the payment modal reflects all discounts and taxes combined.
