Payment types on AADOPS POS

When you open the payment modal on the POS, you select both a payment status and a payment type. AADOPS supports four payment types for in-person sales.

Payment types

Cash β€” the customer pays in physical cash. Enter the amount received. AADOPS calculates the change automatically.

Cheque β€” the customer pays by cheque. Select Cheque as the payment type and record the sale. Keep the physical cheque for banking.

Bank Transfer β€” the customer pays by direct bank transfer. Confirm the credit in your bank app before completing the sale. On mobile, you can switch to your banking app to verify the transfer, then return to AADOPS to complete the sale.

Other β€” use this for any payment method not listed above β€” card terminals, mobile money, or any other method your business accepts.

Payment statuses

Paid β€” the full amount has been received. The sale is fully settled.

Unpaid β€” no payment received yet. The sale is recorded but the full amount is outstanding.

Partial β€” part of the amount has been received. Enter the amount paid. The remaining balance is tracked against the sale.

Multiple payment methods on one sale

If a customer pays using more than one method β€” for example, part cash and part bank transfer β€” tap + Add payment in the payment modal to add a second payment line. Set a different payment type for each line and enter the amount for each.

Sharing receipts on mobile

After completing a sale on mobile, the payment slip modal appears. Tap Share to send the receipt via WhatsApp. Enter or select the customer's number. The receipt is sent as a formatted message with all sale details β€” items, total, payment method, and your business name.

This is faster and more practical than printing on mobile. The customer receives a permanent digital record they can refer back to.

Tip: For bank transfer payments on mobile β€” confirm the credit in your banking app before tapping Submit in AADOPS. Switch apps, verify the transfer, switch back, then complete the sale. Once you tap Submit, the sale is recorded as paid.
