Understanding order statuses

Every marketplace order moves through a sequence of statuses from the moment a buyer places it to the moment payment is released. Understanding what each status means helps you know exactly what is happening with every order and what you need to do next.

Pending confirmation

The buyer has placed the order. You have not yet reviewed or confirmed it. Action required: review and confirm or decline within 24 hours.

Awaiting payment

You have confirmed the order. The buyer has been notified and prompted to pay into escrow. No action needed from you β€” wait for payment.

Paid β€” ready to dispatch

The buyer has paid into escrow. Payment is secured. Action required: prepare and dispatch the goods.

Dispatched

You have marked the order as dispatched. The buyer has been notified that goods are on the way. If using AADOPS logistics, the provider is tracking the shipment.

Delivered

The logistics provider or buyer has confirmed delivery. Escrow release is being processed. No action needed β€” payment will arrive in your bank account within 24 hours.

Completed

Payment has been released from escrow and transferred to your bank account. The order is fully closed.

Disputed

The buyer has raised a dispute β€” they claim goods were not delivered, were damaged, or do not match the listing. Action required: respond to the dispute with evidence. See the article on raising a dispute for the full process.

Cancelled

The order was cancelled β€” either by the buyer before payment, by you when declining, or automatically because payment was not made within the payment window.

Note: If an order sits at Awaiting payment for more than 48 hours without the buyer paying, follow up directly with the buyer. If they do not pay, the order will expire and you can relist the stock.
