Setting a default warehouse

How to set your primary warehouse as the default location in COMPLIED so it pre-selects across POS, purchases, and inventory.

What the default warehouse does

The default warehouse is the location AADOPS pre-selects whenever a location choice is required — on the POS, in purchase order receiving, in stock adjustments, and in production order allocation. If your staff primarily work from one location, setting it as default saves them from selecting it manually on every transaction.

How to set the default warehouse

Go to Settings → Warehouses
Find the warehouse you want to set as default
Click the three-dot menu next to it
Select Set as default

The default warehouse is marked with a star in your warehouse list. Only one location can be the default at a time.

Changing the default

To change the default, repeat the process above for the new location. The previous default is automatically deselected.

Default warehouse and the POS

On the POS, the default warehouse determines which stock levels are shown and which inventory is depleted when a sale is completed. If a cashier is working at a different location, they should switch the active location on the POS before starting sales — otherwise stock will be deducted from the wrong location.

Note: Each staff member can set their own active location on the POS without changing the account-wide default warehouse. The account default is the starting point — individual staff override it for their session as needed.
