When to add a second location
Add a second warehouse or store location when your business operates from more than one physical site and you need to track inventory separately at each. Common scenarios: a main warehouse and a retail outlet, two market stalls in different towns, a factory and a distribution depot, or a head office store and a field office store.
Step 1 β Go to Warehouses
Click Settings β Warehouses. Click + Add warehouse.
Step 2 β Enter location details
- Location name β give it a clear, specific name your staff will recognise: "Aba Main Store", "Onitsha Depot", "Kano Branch", "Factory Floor". Avoid generic names like "Warehouse 2" β they become confusing when you have several.
- Address β the physical address of this location
- State and city β used for marketplace buyer location filtering if you list from this location
- Contact person β the staff member responsible for this location
- Phone number β the contact number for this location
Step 3 β Save
Click Save warehouse. The location is immediately available for stock assignments, stock transfers, purchase order receiving, and production order allocation.
Plan limits
The number of warehouse locations you can add depends on your plan: Standard supports up to 3 locations, Power up to 10, Enterprise is unlimited.
