Recording labour on a production order
Labour costs can be recorded against a production order in two ways:
Fixed labour cost per run β set in the bill of materials. Every production order for that product automatically includes the fixed labour cost, scaled to the quantity produced. This works well for operations with consistent staffing β for example, you always use four workers for one day of production.
Variable labour cost per order β added directly to the production order. Use this when staffing levels vary per run β for example, a rush order required ten workers instead of four.
How to add a variable labour cost to a production order
- Open the active production order
- Click Add production cost
- Select Labour as the cost type
- Enter the description β e.g. "8 casual workers, 2 days at β¦3,500 per day"
- Enter the total amount
- Click Save
This labour cost is included in the production cost calculation when the order closes.
Staff roles in production
Staff members on your AADOPS account can be given access to view and update production orders based on their role. Managers can create and confirm orders. Cashiers cannot access the Producer module. Configure access under Settings β Staff β Roles.
