What a bill of materials is

A BOM is a list of all raw materials and quantities required to produce one unit of a finished product. AADOPS uses it to allocate and deduct materials automatically on every production run.

Step 1 β€” Go to Bills of Materials

Click Producer in your left sidebar, then click Bills of Materials. Click + New BOM.

Step 2 β€” Select your finished product

Choose the product this BOM produces. It must already exist in your inventory.

Step 3 β€” Set the production quantity

Enter how many units this BOM produces per run. AADOPS scales material quantities proportionally for any production order size.

Step 4 β€” Add raw materials

For each material: select it from your product list, enter the quantity needed, and enter the unit. Add as many as required.

Step 5 β€” Add labour cost (optional)

Add a labour cost per production run. This is included in total cost calculation but does not affect inventory.

Step 6 β€” Save

Click Save BOM. When you create a production order for this product, AADOPS will use this BOM automatically.

Note: Update the BOM immediately whenever your production process changes. All future orders use the latest version.
