When to release escrow
Release escrow when your goods have arrived and you are satisfied with what you received — the correct product, correct quantity, in acceptable condition. Releasing escrow is your confirmation that the transaction is complete and the seller has fulfilled their obligation.
How to confirm delivery and release escrow
- Go to Marketplace → My orders
- Open the order for the goods you have received
- Click Confirm delivery
- You may be asked to rate the seller and leave a short note about your experience
- Click Confirm
Escrow releases immediately. The seller's payment is transferred to their bank account within 24 hours.
If goods arrive damaged or incorrect
Do not confirm delivery if goods are seriously damaged, missing, or significantly different from the listing. Instead, raise a dispute. See the article on raising a dispute for full instructions.
Auto-release
If you do not confirm delivery or raise a dispute within 72 hours of the logistics provider confirming delivery, escrow releases automatically. This is a protection for sellers — it prevents indefinite payment holds. If there is a genuine problem, raise a dispute before this window closes.
