  • At least one completed production order

What the production report covers

The production efficiency report gives you a quantitative view of your manufacturing operation β€” how much you produced, what it cost, how efficient your production runs were, and where material was lost to waste or scrap.

How to access it

Go to Reports β†’ Production efficiency. Select your date range and optionally filter by product.

Key metrics

Total units produced β€” finished goods output for the period across all production orders.

Total production cost β€” all material, labour, and overhead costs for the period.

Cost per unit β€” average production cost per finished unit. Compare across months to track efficiency improvements or cost increases.

Material yield rate β€” the ratio of raw material input to finished goods output. A yield rate below your expected BOM ratio indicates waste that you should investigate.

Scrap and wastage β€” quantity and cost of raw materials lost in production, broken down by waste reason.

On-time completion rate β€” percentage of production orders completed by their planned completion date.

Tip: If your cost per unit is rising without a corresponding rise in raw material prices, the cause is almost always waste, rework, or unrecorded costs creeping into your process. The production report identifies the trend β€” your production floor investigation finds the cause.
