How Flutterwave works on AADOPS
Flutterwave is AADOPS's primary payment processor. It handles three types of transactions on the platform: marketplace escrow payments from buyers, subscription billing for paid plans, and subaccount creation for seller disbursements. Most of this is configured by AADOPS at the platform level β but there are specific steps you need to take as a seller to receive marketplace payments.
What you need to do as a seller
To receive marketplace disbursements, your bank account must be registered and verified through Flutterwave. AADOPS creates a Flutterwave subaccount for you when you complete this process.
- Go to Settings β Payment details
- Click Add bank account
- Enter your account number and select your bank from the list
- AADOPS fetches your account name from Flutterwave automatically β confirm it matches your business name
- Click Save bank account
AADOPS creates your Flutterwave subaccount in the background. You do not need a separate Flutterwave account. Once the subaccount is created, marketplace disbursements go directly to your registered bank account.
For buyers β how payment works
When you pay into escrow for a marketplace order, you are redirected to a Flutterwave payment page. You can pay by debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Verve), bank transfer, or USSD. After payment, Flutterwave confirms to AADOPS and the escrow is marked as funded. You are then redirected back to your order.
If a payment fails
If a Flutterwave payment fails during checkout, try again with a different card or payment method. Common reasons for failure: insufficient funds, card not enabled for online payments, or a temporary bank network issue. If failures persist, contact your bank directly β AADOPS cannot override bank-level payment blocks.
