How multi-location inventory works

Each warehouse or store location you create in AADOPS holds its own independent stock. When you add a product, you assign its opening stock to a specific location. Every sale, purchase, transfer, and adjustment is recorded against a location β€” so you always know exactly what is where.

Viewing stock by location

Go to Inventory β†’ Products. By default, the product list shows your total stock across all locations. To see stock per location, click the location filter at the top of the list and select the warehouse or store you want to view.

Adding opening stock to a new location

When you create a new warehouse, it starts empty. To add stock to it:

  1. Go to Inventory β†’ Stock adjustments
  2. Click + New adjustment
  3. Select the new warehouse as the location
  4. Select the product and enter the quantity to add
  5. Set the reason as Opening stock
  6. Click Save adjustment

Low stock alerts per location

Reorder point alerts are location-aware. If a product is below its reorder point in one location but adequately stocked in another, AADOPS will alert you about the specific location that is low β€” not just the product overall.

Tip: If you sell from multiple locations that serve different markets, name your warehouses clearly β€” "Aba Main Store", "Onitsha Branch", "Lagos Depot" β€” so your staff always know which location they are working with.
