When to use a transfer

Use a stock transfer when you want to move inventory from one of your locations to another β€” for example, moving excess stock from your main warehouse to a branch store, or consolidating stock before a large order.

Step 1 β€” Go to Stock transfers

Go to Inventory β†’ Stock transfers. Click + New transfer.

Step 2 β€” Select source and destination

Select the From location (where the stock is coming from) and the To location (where it is going). Both must be locations within your account.

Step 3 β€” Add products

Click Add product and select the item you want to transfer. Enter the quantity to move. You can add multiple products to a single transfer.

AADOPS will warn you if you try to transfer more than the available quantity at the source location.

Step 4 β€” Confirm the transfer

Review the transfer details and click Confirm transfer. The stock is immediately deducted from the source location and added to the destination location. The transfer is logged in your transfer history with the date, user, products, and quantities.

Note: Stock transfers are available on Standard plan and above, which support multiple warehouse locations. If you are on the Starter plan, you have one location and transfers are not applicable.
