Why auto-release exists
Auto-release protects sellers from buyers who receive their goods but delay or refuse to confirm delivery β intentionally or otherwise. Without auto-release, a seller could have their payment held indefinitely even after a successful delivery.
When auto-release triggers
Escrow releases automatically when:
- The AADOPS logistics provider marks the delivery as completed, and
- 72 hours pass without the buyer confirming delivery or raising a dispute
Both conditions must be met. If the buyer raises a dispute before the 72-hour window closes, auto-release is suspended until the dispute is resolved.
What happens when auto-release triggers
AADOPS processes the release exactly as it would for a manual buyer confirmation. The commission is deducted and the balance transfers to your bank account within 24 hours. The order closes as Completed.
For buyers β what to do before auto-release
If you receive goods and have a genuine problem β damage, wrong items, short delivery β raise a dispute before the 72-hour auto-release window closes. Once auto-release triggers, the transaction is considered complete and resolving a dispute becomes significantly harder.
